What You Can Find on .edu Sites
The .edu ending is reserved for accredited US colleges and universities. Their sites hold course syllabi, lecture notes and slides, theses, working papers, lab manuals, open textbooks and campus policies, much of it free.

For journal articles, Google Scholar is the better tool. This search is for everything universities post outside of journals.
Universities Outside the US
Universities in other countries use their own endings, such as ac.uk in the UK and edu.au in Australia. Pick One website under Where and type the ending.
Lecture slides have their own PowerPoint search, and public reports are on government document search.
