The Clinical Investigation Regulatory Office (CIRO) is the oversight agency for human research within US Army Health Services Command (HSC). Recipients of the letter include: Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, TX Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, Aurora, CO Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, WA Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, TX Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point, NY Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, GA Letterman Army Health Clinic, Presidio of SF, CA Dugway Army Health Clinic, Dugway Proving Grounds, UT U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD Army Medical Department Center & School, Fort Sam Houston, TX 2. Additionally, we sent courtesy copies of the sample letter through the pharmacy consultants to the medical consultants at 7th Medical Command, 18th Medical Command, and US Army Hospital-Japan. We also sent a sample to the command surgeon Army Materiel Command. These commands may wish to conduct inquiries based on our model, but we have no regulatory jurisdiction over 4. Additional information and assistance with preparation of documents may be obtained by contacting MAJ John D. Grabenstein, Regulatory Affairs Pharmacist, at DSN 471-2511 or commercial 210-221-2511.
