This document contains a memorandum for secretarial officers regarding memorandums of understanding ( mous ). There is also a summary report on doe mous with federal agencies. There are numerous memorandums of understanding included. The agencies involved are as follows: the office of energy technology of the department of energy and the maritime administration of the department of commerce; the department of energy and the national oceanic and atmospheric administration. The purpose of the memorandum of understanding is to establish a policy of mutual cooperation, to describe the general conditions under which the parties involved cooperative efforts will be formulated, and to outline overall management approaches and procedures which will govern program approval and implementation by the respective agencies. Finally, the document contains a memorandum of agreement between the department of the navy, doe, and the department of the interior.
