Defense Nuclear Agency MEMORANDUM FOR THE ASSISTANT TO THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE SUBJECT: Forwarding of Human Radiation Experiments (HRE) Materials and Review of Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA) HRE Records Search Efforts A summary status of DNA action items resulting from a 20 May 1994 meeting between members of the DoD Human Radiation Research Steering Committee and the Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments (ACHRE) staff, and a 3 June 1994 meeting held among representatives of the Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA), the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI), and the Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments (ACHRE) staff is enclosed as Attachment 1 . DNA continues to search and review Washington Area Record Center archive records in response to action items. DNA has completed a first pass review of command histories. Additional documents, including excerpts from command histories, in response to these action items are enclosed as Attachment 2. Action item numbers in the summary table refer to the action items listed in Attachment 1. Documents identified during our archival records search which do not correspond to specific action items, but which are considered to be of potential interest to the ACHRE, are identified as "general" documents. Major General, USAF (Attachments forwarded to RECC)
