MEMORANDUM FOR THE ASSISTANT TO THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE Forwarding of Human Radiation Research Review Materials: As a result of a 20 May 1994 meeting between members of the DoD Human Radiation Research Steering Committee and the Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments (ACHRE) staff, Mr. Dan Guttman forwarded a list of action items to Dr. Soper in a 23 May 1994 letter. On 3 June 1994, a meeting was held among representatives of the Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA), the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI), and the Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments (ACHRE) staff. This meeting resulted in seventeen additional action items which were summarized and forwarded to DNA in an 8 June 1994 letter from Mr. Guttman. Attachment ( 1 ) summarizes the status of the twenty-four DNA action items resulting from these two meetings. Attachment (2) forwards additional documents, including excerpts from command histories, in response to these action items (action item numbers in the summary table refer to the action items listed in Attachment (1)). Documents identified during our archival records search which do not correspond to specific action items, but which are considered to be of potential interest to the ACHRE, are identified in Attachment (2) as "general" documents.
