Presented herewith i s the first year's report on the allocations of radioisotopes and stable isotopes covering the period from July I, 1946 t o June 30, 1947. Tine distribution program was inaugurated under the jurisdiction of the Ih hatta n District and the first year of activity was completed after the .iitomic Elslergy Cods sion had assumed control of the project, the Isotopes Branch, Research Division, Field Operations which maintained its identity throughout the entire period.ccvered by the report and which has since become t h e Isotopes Division, Oak Ridge Operations. Continuity was attained through the r o l e played by radioisotopes rere allocated. departments concerned, together with the isotopes requested and a brief statement of the investigations in which the isotopes were t o is presented a detailed list of the individuals t o whom Shown also are the institutions and In Part II stable isotopes vere inade. for radioisotopes in Part I, These lists are not for publication, either in whole or i n part, will be found a list of those t o whom allocations of This list is entirely simiZar t o that

YEARLY REPORT ON ALWCATIONS OF R.ADIOIsOTOPES The following list shows the imes and locations of the institutions, departments, and users of radioisotopes from whom requests f o r allocations of such materials were received during the period from July 1, 1946 t o June 30, 1947, Shmm also are the radioisotopes requested and a brief statement of the study t o be made with t h e isotopes when allocated. Action on a l l but nine requests hzs been completed, t o refuse only three of the requests, although eight were canceled before final action was taken, Of the 686 t o whom allocations had been made by June 30, only 28 had not been taken up by the requesters. It was necessary This list has been compiled in order t o show in detail how the program of distribution of radio iso to psk s progressed during the first year. The list is not for publication, confidence of tne investigators listed, because: It is necessary t o preserve the ( A ) h y of the studies have not been completed and a r e not ready for publication, and (B) The individuals should not be subjected t o unwarranted solicit at ion,
