Rosen states that lasl is indeed building a biomedical capability as part of the los alamos meson physics facility. In regard to radiation therapy, work is planned to explore the potential of a new kind of radiation. However, the new facility will not be operational until ne july and clinical trials are not scheduled to start until a year after that date.
