This letter is in regard to an inquiry regarding the pi meson research program. Kligerman states that at present the accelerator is shut down for extensive maintenance. When operation resumes, testing will be do with the beam on skin nodules gradually progressing toward treatment o deeper tumors at higher dose level. Kligerman states that prostate cancer is one of the sites that will be tested with the beam. Breast cancer is not one of the sites selected for definitive treatment with the pion beam.
